Guys Im sick of this-- it's really sad that EVH passed and obv was a seminal figure to many musics fans and a genius. And it's sad the dude lost his dad. This song tho is mediocre AF and the PR campaign behind it is utilizing the death of EVH to promote it which I think is pitiful.

    2. Antonio CC

Very good song and great performance of Wolf and the band. As an old VH fan, I misjudged him as a musician but still think he was out of context in VH. Muuuuch more better in his own band. The guy is getting stronger now with the bless of his great father. Keep it up Wolf !

    3. MikeD

      Wonderful Wolf!

    4. what the??

WHAT a voice..... gonna do good things, just like his old man.....

    5. PROD: TeRd FeRgUson

Think he had the feels at the end there . I felt this one I remember his mom shielding him from the spotlight for years this is really something to behold . Awesome

    6. Guitarist Rob Johnson

      EDDIE is somewhere , .... .... smiling , proud , ... and watching over Wolfie ❤️🙏💥💯🎸

    7. Mike Rueger

Eddie Van Halen, undeniable legend and guitar 🎸 God. Wolfgang Van Halen , wealthy son of a legend, but mediocre singer, songwriter and musician.

    8. Doc Y

    9. Patrick Cibulka

      The kid is good.

his band should be called wolfdown.

    11. Duchess Studio Band

I have to say this. ..the song without the name Van Halen attached to it, would be at the bottom of the chart s. For Wolfgang it's emotional to be sure, but as far as musical content......not impressed

    12. OriginalNethead

The drums were up too far in the beginning, overriding the vocal, but other than that... Head, banged! Eddie would have been proud.

    13. MrThunderbeast

I didn't know his band's name is Mammoth. That is a tribute to his father also. Mammoth was the original name for Van Halen. They were forced to change it when they found out that another band was already using that name.

    15. Papa J the Mountainaire Kid

A couple more generations of Van Halen influence is a good thing. I’m looking forward to what Mr. Wolfgang brings us. Pretty rockin’ good so far. And he sings! A Van Halen at the mic! I hope he gets very experimental.

    16. Laura Fallon

      Outstanding Wofie, well done dude!!!

    17. ricky steele

You’re the real deal kid. Even tho you’re a man. A true man playing rock n roll and brother that’s JUST what this world needs.

    18. Fajr Sahar

I would like to thank Allah for EVH's Muslim mother from Indonesia giving birth to the brothers VH and blessing them with great musical abilities.

    19. Lynn Ritchie

Don't know how he can perform this without breaking down! It really got me!

    20. Bebo Rodner

WOW, wasn't sure if I'd like it. ... Wolfgang, what a tribute, you got a lot of feel like your old man. This is a freaking great song!!. That intro is sweet, and when it starts to come in heavy,,, fkg awesome!!

    21. Adam LaTour

Look mom I get to play my song that sucks on tv because dad died.

    22. poppyhimbo

    23. Don Chan

Eddie Van the best u will be miss by millions..’ thank your for all the good time u giving us...

    24. Sandy McClay

I agree with Todd....and after hearing this with tears running down my face....losing parent(s) is a never ending heartache you just have to learn to live this Wolfie.....BIG HUGS!!!! ❤SANDY

    25. Pawl Poche

I remember I didn’t agree with wolf being hired for bass. Now that eddies gone, it was the best decision they could have made. Getting to tour the world with his dad

    26. Pam Rosser

Excellence runs in the family Great job Wolf🤘

    27. Justin Hoard

The song has gone to no. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay. EVH, with Van Halen, racked up 13 Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1s, the third-most in the chart's nearly 40-year history. Well done!

    28. Mark Smith

I heard in the wind there will be an Eddie Van Halen tribute concert. In my opinion as a long time Van Halen fan is that every member of Van Halen should be invited and make it a true Van Halen event anybody that touched Eddie's life and played with Eddie should be there no exceptions I'll hatchets have to be buried. All offenders must make amends. Edward would have wanted that he was a very forgiving person he was stubborn but he was forgiving. And if anybody knows Eddie I should say Edward would say that too. Sure he could stay pissed at somebody but if you talk to him he would forgive you that's just the kind of soul he was..

    29. Rob Boyer

How can anyone give this a thumbs down?

    30. 265308

WTF up all u morons spelling Wolfgang's name wrong?!?? He a dude it spelled WOLFY not WOLFIE(like TONY) ending in IE = a girl.

    31. 76Hotwire

That quiver in his voice. Breaks my heart.

    32. Andrew Pappas

Definitely a great tribute to a great man, Wolfgang did a fantastic job and you can tell that his dad’s passing is still hard on him (as it was for a lot of musicians as well). RIP Eddie, and I hope you’re still proud of your son for this song

    33. David Berry

Love it what a great tribute to his father .

    34. Thomas Bassett

I'm so happy for Wolfie. I think he is only just beginning to discover his musical abilities and if he keeps it up, he can be just as influential as his father Edward. There's no doubt that despite his parents having some substance abuse issues, that they did one hell of a great job bringing Wolfie up. I don't think I have ever met or known of any family that shared their love for each other like the Van Halens. That love just amplifies everything and you can feel it even when they are just giving interviews. I lost my wife to cancer 5 years ago so I know what a horrible thing it is to watch the person you love more than anything else slowly deteriorate till they are gone. You feel completely useless yet you try everything within your means to find a cure but after a while you know that this battle is already lost. All you can do is pretend to be positive and wait for that day that they pass away. I don't know how he has the strength to sing that song without breaking down singing it. It's a very brave thing to play in public like this and putting out an album. I know he toured with Van Halen and played large venues before. But he did that with Eddie, so he didn't have to worry about anything going wrong. I'm sure that Edward taught him everything he needs to know about being a musician, but this was his debut album. This was his introduction to the world as a solo artist and I'm sure he was really missing his dad's support that night. But he pulled it off like a pro and now it's up to him to decide just how far he wants to go with his musical career. The pressure must be insane for him because everyone is expecting so much from him being Eddie Van Halens' only son. I'm sure that everyone is expecting him to play just like his dad did which the people are going to be very lost when they hear that he is not trying to play just like his dad did. He is going to play music that is different than Eddie because he is not Eddie. He is Wolfie and I think that once people realize that he is playing music that he wrote and created on his own, that they will stop comparing him to his father and recognize that he is his own person and this is his music. He needs to just keep writing his music from the heart and he will find that his career will take off like a rocket. After all, he was taught and influenced by the best musicians his entire life. What an incredible childhood he must have had being exposed to so many incredible musicians since before he was even born. His parents did such an amazing job raising him. He didn't turn out to be some spoiled rockstars son who takes everything for granted which was possible. You can tell he is so well-grounded and not full of himself. He could have turned out with more of a David Lee Roth attitude after being on tour with him for all those years. He just chose to be himself, which you can hear when he sings his music. I would have been sad if he sang cover tunes like Dave did most of his career. But that was just Dave being Dave. And this was Wolfie being Wolfie. It's sad that Eddie didn't get to be here for this, but I'm sure his spirit was there grinning and watching in awe as his son started to play. He is the proudest spirit in heaven right now. And he will always be every time we think of him, his spirit will always live on. Thank you Eddie for raising Wolfie with all of your love. It's that love that will make him a great musician. Because Music is emotion. You could have just taught him chords and the mechanics of playing but that's not what music is about. You played from your heart and now we get to hear Wolfie do the same. It can only get better from here on out.

    35. Lisa Dallas

I think this was very hard for Wolfie to perform this song live. He was very shakey and nervous in the beginning of the song. This must be so painful for him to sing. I admire his courage.

    36. Kris Rose

Love Wolfie. Such a talented person

    37. jason t

That was great. The ones that gave this a thumbs down, you have no taste in music obviously. Wolfie and the band are more talented then I thought they were gonna sound.

    38. Checkered Life

Good tune. I was really expecting a lot more in guitar solo talent but the kid can definately sing.

    39. Dottie E

God Bless you, Wolf. You are your own man. Congratulations on launching your music career for the world. I hope to see you on tour when all of this chaos in the world straightens out. I worked for VH on the 5150 tour. Prayers to you all.

    40. Debbie Nunya

I am so incredibly in love with this song. I love his voice, the song melodically beautiful, and the words and meaning behind it, for me, resonate to my core.

    41. Travel & Music BNC

This is the first time I have heard this. I didn't have any preconceived notion of how it might sound. I liked it. It sort of has a Foo Fighters vibe to me.

    42. Rock Ironsides

      Wow, great performance.

    43. Michael Milstead

there it is the youth of rock n very much needed and a Van Halen did it

Man this kid has a voice! Extremely talented. Can't wait to listen to the full album.

    59. Peter D

A great performance. His solo has me stumped. Maybe he decided that shredding like his Dad was going to invite odious comparisons. I was expecting a bit more, though.

    60. James Jose Francis Capuno

This gave me goosebumps. Rock in power evh!

    61. Kevin Braud

      Dad is proud

    64. Dakota Vincent

this song can be implied to anybody who lost someone close to them. Mines Riley Crouch. Miss her so much

    65. big mike

Not impressed at all,it sounded very generic and it didn't require much talent to create.and what's with the name MAMMOTH? Sounds more like the name of a metal band.if he's got guitar playing skills like his dad he certainly did not show it.

      1. brian irish

        Worst take of all time

    66. dan kaisk

Chip off the old block... :) Great job Wolfie! Wish you the best man...

      1. The Mighty Brain Reviews

        the band is great too!

    86. Rod King

Nothing outstanding about this style of music. Sounds like the same soulless crap being produced in Hollyweird every day.

      1. Theresa• K•

What is your standard of music? I’m sure it’s fantastic. *sarcasm*

    87. MK2021

Old Tremonti drummer, love that guy 🤘🏻

    88. John Fair

He has a good voice and this is a great song. However if he doesn't lose weight and and get healthy, he will be seeing his Dad faster then he thinks.

      1. Theresa• K•

Why did you feel the need to attack him physically? I’m sure he’s well aware that he’s larger (like myself) and doesn’t need it pointed out when they put themselves out there. It’s just an ignorant statement that people like yourself try to say, “I’m only concerned for his health”. No you’re not. You could easily die tomorrow yourself, so just save that crap on your own self. It’s disgusting to do to anyone.

    89. darrelict1

Yeah, Eddie's son. But, to me, Wolf's talent, this tune and Mammoth stand completely on their own. Awesome, moving - and rocking. Sincerest wishes for continued spiritual healing and professional success, Wolf. Please know your dad is beyond proud.

    90. DVincentW

I'm not going to pontificate, and say, this is great music, by a great musician.

    91. speed67

Excellent job, Wolf! The pain will never go away, but it will become more tolerable.

    92. kitty susca

That voice kicked in just fine!!! Excellent performance!!! Wolfie rocks!!

    93. William Smyth

I wasn’t sure wha to expect, but that was fantastic.

    94. Mark

      Someone smack the sound man.

    95. Charlie Harrington

It's obvious Wolfie fell far..far..from the Van Halen tree and landed on the Bertinelli side..

    96. Pablo Van Cleef

Great job Wolf. Carry that torch high.

    97. Collin Kinzer

Wolfgang , your dad is with you every way on and off stage, sorry for your loss your. Dad is a great man ,rock on Wolfgang .

    98. Luke Skywalker

I can't wait to hear the hard rock stuff on this album, WVH has an incredible voice on this song!!!!!

    99. Weekly Fascination

Not sure what I can add to the already positive and supportive comments. This performance was moving. Please keep making music, Wolfie.

    100. Wendy Wright

      Crying my freaking eyes out.....
